Testing out NLP on the public Danish asylum database, Author: Panagiota Katsikouli
Using NLP techniques the team has scraped over 8000 decision summaries from the Refugee Appeals Board. The findings reveal information such as: the board’s decision for each applicant, gender, year of entry in Denmark, religion, ethnicity. The findings are illustrated with a number of figures, demonstrating the distribution of applications as well as the recognition rates.
